It was decided to start second shift in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa schools from August.

Education Minister Shahram Khan Turki has said that the second shift will initially be started from the hilly districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with the aim of reducing the dropout ratio.

He said that the schools would be upgraded in the second shift and in addition to the existing teachers; new teachers would also be recruited for the second shift program.

He said that higher secondary school teachers would be paid Rs 20,000 and staff Rs 7,000 per month while the second shift would start in the first shift after school holidays.
