John McAfee founder McAfee found dead in Spanish prison

American programmer, founder of the anti-virus company McAfee John McAfee was found dead in his cell in the Catalan prison of San Esteve Sesrovires.  

The death of the prisoner occurred on the same day when it became known that the National Court approved his extradition to the United States, where McAfee is suspected of tax crimes, which include imprisonment for up to 30 years.

At the moment, the law enforcement agencies of Catalonia have launched an investigation into the incident. McAfee was 75 years old.

œThe panel of judges has left the correctional facility and is investigating the causes of death. All indications are that it could be a death by suicide, the Generalitat's Department of Justice said in a statement.

Earlier, the founder of the antivirus company was arrested in Spain at the request of the United States for crypto currency fraud and tax evasion. The kingdom's court approved his extradition to the United States. According to the US Securities and Exchange Commission, the crypto lord used his fame to promote the ICO on his Twitter account, while hiding the fact of receiving money for such advertising.

A businessman in 1987 founded McAfee, which is a major developer of antivirus software. In 2011, the company was acquired by Intel Corporation.
