KP Education Department Unveils e-Transfer Policy for Teachers

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Department of Education has introduced a new e-Transfer Policy aimed at streamlining the transfer process for teachers. Provincial Education Minister Faisal Khan Tarakai announced the launch in a recent video message, highlighting the key features of the new system.

Under the e-Transfer Policy, vacant teaching positions will be posted on the e-Transfer Portal by District Education Officers (DEOs) by September 9th. Teachers interested in these positions can apply online between September 10th and September 20th. The DEOs will review and verify the applications from September 21st to September 24th, with the final merit list scheduled to be published on September 26th.

Online transfer orders are set to be issued on September 27th. The Minister emphasized that the e-Transfer Policy will consolidate all transfer activities into a single annual cycle during the summer holidays, simplifying the process for teachers.

Tarakai assured that the entire transfer process would be merit-based and handled electronically, eliminating the need for physical office visits or personal recommendations. This approach is designed to allow teachers to focus on their core responsibilities without the added burden of navigating a complex transfer process.

The Minister also committed to overseeing the e-Transfer process personally to ensure transparency and adherence to merit. The new policy includes various merit indicators, and teachers with the highest scores will be assigned to their preferred positions.

Additionally, the Department of Education will appoint focal persons at the District Education Office, Directorate, and Secretariat levels to monitor and support the e-Transfer system, ensuring smooth implementation and addressing any issues that may arise.

This initiative marks a significant step towards modernizing the education sector in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and improving the efficiency and fairness of teacher transfers.
