Mari Petroleum Company Limited [MPCL], one of Pakistan™s largest exploration and production companies, through its recently launched CSR initiative Mari Mobile Dastarkhawan has served over 57,000 underprivileged citizens in Rawalpindi and Islamabad in a span of just over 3 months.

Launched in partnership with Todd Shea™s Comprehensive Disaster Response Services (CDRS) in April 2021, œMari Mobile Dastarkhawan provides two meals a day [breakfast and dinner] to over 600 daily wage laborers, street children, and people who are in search of employment away from their villages, as well as those residing at œPanah Gah.

Inspired by the Prime Minister of Pakistan™s Ehsaas Program, MPCL hopes to play its part in tackling the burden of poverty and malnutrition in Pakistan and aims to cater to over 200,000 people during this 1-year pilot project, with plans to scale-up this project to other parts of the country including MPCL operational areas.

In addition to quality cooked meals and its distribution every day, Mari Petroleum and CDRS teams also ensure COVID-19 pandemic awareness by educating the people during the daily food drives and providing them with preventive essentials such as masks and hand sanitizers.

Indeed, Mari Petroleum continues to carry out numerous high-impact projects across education, health, water supply schemes and infrastructure development to uplift local communities in its active areas of operations, which are largely remote and often devoid of even the basic necessities.

Earlier this July 2021, Mari Petroleum also responded to the Ministry of Energy (Power Division) request for gas production to counter the major power crisis in Pakistan by supplying around 40 MMSCFD gas to national grid from Mari field on fast track basis. MPCL made this possible by utilizing the undrawn gas volumes by CPGCL/GENCO-II in Guddu through optimizing its gas production capacity.
