Afghanistan Cricket Board has announced the squad for the ODI series against Pakistan. Cricketers who have not had a chance in ODI cricket so far, have made it to the Afghanistan team and will play their first ODI against Pakistan. Siddiqullah Atal, Shahidullah Kamal, Abdul Rehman, Fazal Haq Farooqi and Noor Ahmad, will play the ODI series .The three-match ODI series will be played in the UAE in September, according to the info Afghanistan has faced Pakistan in two Asia Cup matches and one World Cup tournament. Hashmatullah Shahidi is going to captain for the first time in ODIs which was appointed for him earlier this year.
Rehmat Shah will be the vice-captain while Asghar Afghan has been removed from the captaincy. The Afghan led the team to a three-on-one series against Ireland in the UAE.
Javed Ahmadi, Gulbuddin Naib, Syed Sherzad and Yameem Ahmadzai were also in the team, they have been dropped.
Rashid Khan will spin attack with Mujeeb-ur-Rehman. Similarly, Noor Ahmed, who is playing in BBL and PSL, will also be part of the spin attack and this will be his start for international cricket. Left-hander Fazal Haq Farooqi, who has played for the Chennai Super Kings, could also be part of the squad for the tour. Siddiqueullah Atal has so far played only T20 series where his runs are 114 at an average of 16.28.

Rehmatullah Garbaz is part of the squad as a wicketkeeper while Ikram Ali Khel has also returned. He has played ODI cricket in 2019.
All-rounder Karim Janat, who played just one ODI for Afghanistan in 2017, is also part of the squad.
Afghanistan currently has 30 points in the World Cup Super League.
