Permanent Vice-Chancellors Appointed for 11 Punjab Universities

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has personally overseen the selection process for new permanent vice-chancellors at 11 universities across the province. This strategic move aims to stabilize and enhance the leadership of these key educational institutions.

According to a report by 24NewsHD TV, Dr. Zubair Iqbal Ghouri has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) Multan. Dr. Ghouri, currently serving as the pro-rector at NAMAL Hyderabad, has a distinguished academic background. He earned his MA in English from BZU Multan between 1992 and 1995, and furthered his studies at Westminster University, London, and another institution in Thailand.

The official appointment notification for the new Vice-Chancellor is anticipated soon from the Governor of Punjab. BZU Multan has been operating without a permanent Vice-Chancellor for nearly two years, with Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah currently fulfilling the role on an acting basis.

This appointment is expected to bring renewed focus and direction to BZU Multan, which has been eagerly awaiting stable leadership to guide its future growth and development.
