The Health Department of Pakistan's Sindh Province has decided to block the mobile SIMs of citizens in different phases who have not been vaccinated against corona. Mobile SIM blocked if vaccine is not given, Sindh government warns.

A letter issued by the Sindh Deputy Secretary Health's office on Friday said that a meeting of the provincial Corona Task Force chaired by the Chief Minister had decided that despite the government's constant awareness campaign, those who did not get vaccinated Mobile SIMs will be phased out. The letter directed the administrations of all the districts of the province to take phased steps for the success of the vaccination campaign.

According to the letter, first the citizen should be warned to block the mobile SIM. In the second phase, social media (Facebook, WhatsApp, etc.) will be blocked, while in the third phase, outgoing calls will be blocked. If a citizen does not get vaccinated in spite of all this, his mobile SIM will be completely blocked.

In the letter, the Health Department has requested the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority to take necessary steps to make the vaccination a success.
