Admissions Open at Pakistan’s First Government-Run Autism School
Under the vision and leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, admissions have officially opened at the Maryam Nawaz School and Resource Centre for Autism, the first government-established autism school in Pakistan. This marks a major breakthrough in inclusive education and specialized support for children with autism across the country.
The Special Education Department announced that parents can now apply through the school’s online registration portal. Admissions are open for children aged 3 to 16 years, covering a wide developmental range to ensure every child receives appropriate learning and therapeutic support.
The school has been divided into three structured sections:
• Early Childhood Education (Ages 3–5)
• Junior Section (Ages 6–12)
• Senior Section (Ages 13–16)
Officials explained that each section has been planned to cater to the developmental and educational needs of children at different stages. The institution provides a combination of structured learning, therapy services, and specialized facilities designed specifically for autistic children.
The Maryam Nawaz School and Resource Centre for Autism aims to offer a supportive, inclusive, and development-focused environment, enabling children to learn at their own pace with professional guidance and modern resources.
Parents can submit admission applications through the official website. The last date for online registration is December 10, 2025.
Authorities believe this initiative represents a major milestone for Punjab, helping expand access to specialized care and improving educational opportunities for children with autism across Pakistan.
