Punjab Boards Announce Matric and Inter Exam Schedule 2026
All nine educational boards in Punjab have officially announced the Matric and Intermediate exam schedule for 2026. This announcement is important for students, parents, and teachers who are preparing for the upcoming annual and supplementary examinations across the province.
According to the official notification, the Matric examination dates have been revised due to the holy month of Ramadan. Earlier, the Matric exams were planned to start on March 3, but now the exams will begin on March 27, 2026. This change has been made to ensure students can focus better on their studies during Ramadan. The Matric result will be announced on August 6, 2026.
For Intermediate students, the annual Inter exams will start on May 20, 2026. All Punjab boards will follow the same date sheet to maintain uniformity. The Intermediate results will be declared on September 23, 2026, allowing students enough time to plan admissions for universities and colleges.
The boards have also shared separate result dates for different classes. The Class 9 result will be announced on September 2, 2026, while the First Year Part I result will be released on August 22, 2026. These dates are crucial for students moving to the next academic level.
In addition to annual exams, Punjab boards have also announced the supplementary exam schedule. The Matric supplementary exams will begin on October 6, 2026, and the results will be announced on December 8, 2026. These exams give students a second chance to improve their results and continue their education without delay.
Similarly, the Intermediate supplementary exams will start on November 3, 2026. The Inter supplementary results will be announced on January 12, 2027. This schedule helps students plan their academic future, especially those aiming for higher education.
The Punjab Boards have confirmed that this exam schedule will be applied equally across all boards, including Lahore Board, Faisalabad Board, Rawalpindi Board, Multan Board, Gujranwala Board, Sargodha Board, Bahawalpur Board, Dera Ghazi Khan Board, and Sahiwal Board.
Students are advised to start their preparation according to the new dates and stay connected with their respective boards for official updates. This early announcement gives enough time for proper planning and stress-free exam preparation.
