Punjab Launches Handwriting Improvement Project in Schools
The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has officially launched a new initiative aimed at improving students’ handwriting and writing skills across affiliated schools in the province. The project has been finalized and approved by PEF, followed by the signing of a formal agreement with Educational National Services (CNS), marking an important step toward strengthening foundational learning in schools.
Under this initiative, students enrolled in PEF-supported institutions will receive specialized training focused on handwriting improvement, writing techniques, and basic calligraphy skills. The program is designed to help students develop clearer, more structured writing, which plays a vital role in academic success and effective communication. Improved handwriting is expected to enhance students’ confidence, exam performance, and overall learning outcomes.
The agreement was formally signed by PEF Deputy Managing Director for Support Services, Bushra Naseer, and CNS Chief Executive Officer, Amjad Hassan. With this signing, the project has officially entered its implementation phase. Both organizations expressed commitment to ensuring that the program delivers measurable improvements in students’ written expression and classroom performance.
According to PEF officials, the handwriting improvement project focuses on strengthening core educational skills at an early stage. By addressing writing challenges faced by many students, the initiative aims to support better comprehension, presentation of ideas, and discipline in written work. These skills are considered essential for long-term academic growth.
The project will be rolled out across PEF-affiliated schools, ensuring wide coverage and equal learning opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds. Education experts believe that such targeted interventions can significantly improve learning quality, especially in schools serving underprivileged communities.
Through this initiative, the Punjab Education Foundation continues to demonstrate its focus on innovative and practical reforms within the education sector. By prioritizing foundational skills like handwriting and written communication, the project is expected to contribute positively to students’ academic development and future educational success.
