KARACHI – JazzWorld, Pakistan’s premier digital service provider, has solidified its reputation as a leader in social responsibility by sweeping two major categories at the 15th International Summit on Corporate Social Responsibility. The awards recognize the company’s dual success in future-proofing Pakistan’s youth and saving lives through high-tech disaster management.
The ceremony, held in Karachi, saw Federal Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal present JazzWorld with the Sustainability Innovation Award and the Crisis/Disaster Assistance Award. These accolades highlight a shift in the corporate sector where “giving back” is no longer just about donations, but about integrating life-saving technology into the national fabric.
Digital Safar: Coding the Future
The first big win centered on the Digital Safar Program. In a high-impact partnership with Google and Tech Valley, JazzWorld has moved into classrooms to equip middle-schoolers (grades 6–8) with the tools of the modern age.
This isn’t just basic computer literacy; the program dives into introductory coding and, perhaps more importantly, online safety. To date, the initiative has reached a staggering 300,000 students and trained 5,000 teachers, ensuring that the digital shift in Pakistani education is both safe and sustainable.

A Lifeline During the Monsoon
The second award recognized JazzWorld’s critical collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). Using its expansive mobile network, JazzWorld developed an Early Warning System that has become a vital tool in Pakistan’s fight against climate change.
During recent periods of torrential rain and flooding, the system pushed out over 300 million real-time alerts and advisory messages to vulnerable communities. By providing these “digital umbrellas,” the company has helped move thousands of families out of harm’s way before disaster strikes.
“The recognition reflects JazzWorld’s commitment to its purpose of leveraging technology to enable a Better Life for All,” said Syed Zaheer Mehdi, Group Chief Corporate & Regulatory Affairs. He emphasized that the company’s focus remains on creating “lasting societal value” through inclusive innovation.
As Pakistan continues to face the dual challenges of a digital divide and climate vulnerability, JazzWorld’s recent honors suggest that the private sector’s role in national resilience has never been more critical.
