Islamabad Launches Fully Online System for Private School Registration
The Islamabad Capital Territory Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (ICT-PEIRA) has taken a significant step toward digital governance by launching a fully online system for private school registration and renewal. This move is part of ICT-PEIRA’s broader reforms aimed at improving efficiency, transparency, and service delivery for private educational institutions in the federal capital.
Effective February 10, 2026, all private schools in Islamabad are required to submit their registration and renewal applications exclusively through the official online portal. Traditional paper-based applications will no longer be accepted, marking a shift toward a completely paperless process.
The new system is expected to simplify administrative procedures, reduce processing times, minimize paperwork, and strengthen compliance with regulatory standards. Schools can now complete all required submissions from their offices, saving time and improving overall efficiency.
Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, Acting Chairman of ICT-PEIRA, emphasized that the authority’s long-term goal is to become a fully digital organization. “In the first phase, the registration and renewal process has been moved online. The next phase will see compliance monitoring and other regulatory activities conducted entirely through the digital portal, ensuring greater transparency and accountability,” he said.
With this initiative, ICT-PEIRA aims to modernize the private education sector in Islamabad, making it easier for institutions to comply with regulations while fostering a more transparent and efficient administrative system.
