Punjab Announces Revised School Timings for Ramadan
The Punjab government has announced adjusted school timings across the province for the holy month of Ramadan to accommodate students and staff observing the fast.
According to a notification issued by the School Education Department on February 16, 2026, all educational institutions in Punjab will follow the revised schedules throughout Ramadan.
Timings for Single-Shift Schools
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM
- Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Timings for Double-Shift Schools
- Morning Shift (Mon–Thu): 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
- Evening Shift (Mon–Thu): 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
- Friday Evening Shift: 2:30 PM – 5:00 PM
Additionally, girls’ schools will open and close 15 minutes earlier than the above schedules to further support students observing the fast.
The revised timings aim to reduce fatigue, improve focus in classes, and provide convenience for teachers and students during the holy month. The schedule will remain in effect for the entire duration of Ramadan.
