LAHORE – Navigating the bustling streets of Pakistan’s major urban centers just got a lot simpler. Yango Pakistan, a branch of the global tech giant Yango Group, has officially integrated a comprehensive Transport service into its Superapp, specifically targeting commuters in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi.
The new feature is designed to be a one-stop digital map for public transit, moving beyond simple ride-hailing to offer a “one-window” view of the city’s veins. The service already boasts up-to-date schedules for more than 60 public transport routes, covering a massive network of over 1,000 kilometers across the four cities.
Real-Time Planning at Your Fingertips
The update allows users to build transit routes directly within the app. Whether you’re hopping on a Metrobus (BRT) in Islamabad or catching the Orange Line Metro in Lahore, the app compares travel times, details transfer points, and suggests the most efficient path.
By pulling data for regular buses and metro systems into a single interface, Yango is aiming to eliminate the “app-switching fatigue” that often plagues daily commuters who previously had to rely on multiple, sometimes unreliable, sources for schedules.
A Vision for Connected Cities
Miral Sharif, Country Manager of Yango Pakistan, emphasized that this launch is about more than just convenience—it’s about accessibility.
“Public transport is an essential part of urban mobility for millions,” Sharif stated. “We want to make trip planning clearer. By integrating this into the Superapp, we are giving users a practical tool to move around with greater ease and confidence.”

What’s Next for Yango?
The company isn’t stopping at schedules. Yango has signaled that it is looking for deeper partnerships with both private mobility players and public sector organizations. Future updates could see the app evolve to include integrated ticketing platforms, broader route coverage, and closer real-time synchronization with transport operators.
This move marks a significant expansion of Yango’s digital ecosystem in Pakistan, shifting the brand from a ride-hailing competitor to a holistic urban digital service provider that responds to the everyday needs of the average Pakistani commuter.
