If you’re a technical student in Punjab, it’s time to dust off the textbooks and clear your workspace. The Punjab Board of Technical Education (PBTE) has officially dropped the schedule for the 2026 First Annual Examinations, and the deadlines are going to sneak up on you faster than you think.
The announcement, sanctioned by Chairman Dr. Faisal Mahmood and Controller Irfan Qasim Malik, covers a wide range of certifications. Whether you’re enrolled in the Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) including the Sino-Pak Dual Diploma or you’re pursuing a Diploma in Dress Designing, Dress Making, or City & Guilds programs, the clock is now ticking.
Mark Your Calendars: The Big Dates
The board is splitting the assessment into two main phases. If you’re in your second, third, or fourth year, you’ll be hitting the labs first. Practical examinations are set to kick off on April 16, 2026.
Once the hands-on work is out of the way, the heavy lifting starts for everyone. Theory examinations for all years will begin nationwide on June 29, 2026.
Don’t Get Hit by Late Fees
PBTE has been very clear about the fee submission windows. If you want to keep your wallet happy, aim for the first deadline. Here is the breakdown:
- Single Fee: You have until March 11 to get your forms in.
- Double Fee: If you miss that, you’ve got until March 18.
- Triple Fee: The absolute last call for standard submissions is March 27.
For those who always seem to be running behind, “Hardship Cases” will be entertained until April 7, but it’ll cost you an extra Rs500 for every single day you’re late. After the 7th? The doors are locked—no forms will be accepted under any circumstances.

Golden Chance and Special Cases
The board is also accommodating students in the “Golden Chance” category. These candidates have until March 27 to submit their special exam fees. Similar to regular students, they can also apply under hardship rules until April 7, provided they pay the daily late fine.
Notifications have already been dispatched to all affiliated colleges and technical institutes across the province. If you haven’t seen the official circular on your campus notice board yet, it’s probably a good idea to check in with your admin office today.
