Punjab Announces New Timeline for Recruitment of School Teacher Interns
The School Education Department has issued a revised timeline for the recruitment of School Teacher Interns (STIs) across Punjab, giving candidates a clearer and more organized schedule for the entire process. The updated dates have been circulated to all districts, ensuring applicants can easily track each stage of their recruitment.
According to the revised plan, schools will display the initial merit list on December 3, allowing applicants to view their standing and verify their details. Candidates who wish to challenge their placement can file objections on December 4 and 5 at the tehsil level. Officials will review and address complaints on the spot to maintain transparency and fairness.
Shortlisted applicants will proceed to interviews on December 6 and 7, during which their qualifications, teaching abilities, communication skills, and overall suitability for classroom roles will be evaluated by the recruitment panels.
The School Education Department has confirmed that the final merit list will be released on December 8. It will be available on school notice boards as well as the official STI online portal. Successful candidates can then download their appointment orders on December 9 through the portal.
Authorities have instructed school heads, support staff, and all applicants to strictly follow the timeline to ensure a smooth recruitment cycle. The updated schedule aims to enhance transparency, reduce delays, and provide equal opportunities to all candidates applying for teaching positions across Punjab.
