Punjab University (PU) on Monday hosted a special event to recognize the generous contributions of the Qasim Ali Shah Foundation (QASF) in supporting deserving students through scholarships. Under its “Taleem Mumkin Scholarship Program,” the foundation is currently sponsoring the education of 107 students at the university.
The event was attended by renowned motivational speaker and educationist Qasim Ali Shah, Director PU Planning & Development Prof. Dr. Hafiz Anwaar Asghar, and numerous students benefiting from the program. Addressing the students, Qasim Ali Shah shared the vision and mission of the foundation.
Established in 2017, QASF is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering youth through personal development, leadership training, and motivational learning opportunities. “Our goal is to unlock the potential of young people by focusing on capacity building, self-motivation, skill development, and preparing future leaders for the betterment of society and Pakistan,” he said.
Mr. Shah highlighted that under the current collaboration, running from March 2025 to February 2026, each of the 107 students is receiving a monthly stipend of PKR 10,000. By December 2025, a cumulative amount of PKR 9.33 million had already been disbursed to the current batch.
Overall, from January 2021 to December 2025, the foundation has provided scholarships worth PKR 55.13 million to PU students, supporting a total of 304 students, including 197 graduates. “Through sustained financial assistance, the Taleem Mumkin Scholarship Program ensures the continuity of education for deserving students,” Shah emphasized.
Prof. Dr. Hafiz Anwaar Asghar, Director of Planning & Development, also spoke on the occasion, presenting the portfolio of the Student Financial Aid Office. He stressed that the scholarship selection process is strictly fair, transparent, and merit-based, noting that interviews have been conducted for more than 20,000 applicants, many from remote and underprivileged areas of Pakistan.

He lauded the voluntary services of QASF for contributing to student development and extended a formal vote of thanks to Mr. Shah on behalf of the university. The event also showcased success stories of scholarship recipients, highlighting the transformative impact of financial support on students’ academic journeys and personal growth.
Following the ceremony, Qasim Ali Shah visited the Vice Chancellor’s office, where he met with PU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali. During the meeting, the Vice Chancellor expressed his gratitude for the foundation’s continued support and partnership in assisting deserving students, underscoring the importance of collaborations that promote educational opportunities and social development.
The event not only celebrated the generosity of QASF but also reinforced the critical role of scholarship programs in bridging financial gaps and empowering students to pursue higher education with confidence and dignity.
